【摘要】:Performanceinserviceisthefinalmeasureofvalueforathermalinsulation,butsimulativeservicetestsgiveusefulindications.Onetypeinvolvesapplicationforaspecifiedtimetoasurfaceheatedatatemperatureapproximatelythatofintendedservice,andnotingduringthetestandafterward,changesinthematerialanditsproperties.Measurementofthesechangesareusedforpredictingwhatoccursinserviceasaresultofexposuretotemperaturescorrespondingtothoseofthetests.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheperformanceofcommercialsizesofbothblockandpipeformsofthermalinsulatingmaterialswhenexposedtosimulatedhot-surfaceapplicationconditions.Theterm"hot-surfaceperformance"hasreferencetoasimulateduse-temperaturetestinwhichtheheatedtestingsurfaceisinahorizontalposition.1.2Thistestmethodrefersprimarilytohigh-temperatureinsulationsthatareapplicabletohot-sidetemperaturesinexcessof200176;F(93176;C).Itisusedformaterialssuchaspreformedinsulations,insulatingcements,blankets,andthelike,byproperlaboratorypreparationofthesamples.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
