【摘要】:ResinIdentificationCodesareusedsolelytoidentifytheplasticresinusedinamanufacturedarticle.ResinIdentificationCodesarenotx201C;recyclecodes.x201D;TheuseofaResinIdentificationCodeonamanufacturedplasticarticledoesnotimplythatthearticleisrecycledorthattherearesystemsinplacetoeffectivelyprocessthearticleforreclamationorre-use.Thetermx201C;recyclablex201D;orotherenvironmentalclaimsshallnotbeplacedinproximitytotheCode.Thispracticeisbaseduponthesystemdevelopedin1988bytheSocietyofthePlasticsIndustry,Inc(SPI).1.1Thispracticestipulatesthetypes,namesandsizesofCodesforthosematerialtypesspecifiedinTable1.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarelikelynottobeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsislikelytoresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
