【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationofspecificlight-transmittingandwide-angle-light-scatteringpropertiesofplanarsectionsofmaterialssuchasessentiallytransparentplastic.Twoproceduresareprovidedforthemeasurementofluminoustransmittanceandhaze.ProcedureAusesahazemeterasdescribedinSectionandProcedureBusesaspectrophotometerasdescribedinSection.Materialhavingahazevaluegreaterthan30%isconsidereddiffusingandshouldbetestedinaccordancewithPracticeE167.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Note1Forgreaterdiscriminationamongmaterialsthatscatterahighpercentoflightwithinanarrowforwardangle,suchasisthecasewithabradedtransparentplastics,adjustthehazemeterandperformmeasurementsinaccordancewithTestMethodD1044.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ThistestmethodisnotequivalenttoISO13468-1andISO/DIS14782.
