【摘要】:ThispartofISO815specifiesamethodforthedeterminationofthecompressionsetcharacteristicsofvulcanizedandthermoplasticrubbersatlowtemperatures.Themethodisintendedtomeasuretheabilityofrubbersofhardnesswithintherange10IRHDto95IRHDtoretaintheirelasticpropertiesatspecifiedtemperaturesafterprolongedcompressionatconstantstrain(normally)underoneofthealternativesetsofconditionsdescribed.Forrubberofnominalhardness80IRHDandabove,alowercompressionstrainisused:foranominalhardnessfrom80IRHDto89IRHDandforanominalhardnessfrom90IRHDto95IRHD.NOTEWhenrubberisheldundercompression,physicalorchemicalchangescanoccurthatpreventtherubberreturningtoitsoriginaldimensionsafterreleaseofthedeformingforce.Theresultisasetthemagnitudeofwhichdependsonthetimeandtemperatureofcompressionaswellasonthetimeandtemperatureofrecovery.Atlowtemperatures,changesresultingfromtheeffectsofglasshardeningorcrystallizationbecomepredominantand,sincetheseeffectsarereversedbyraisingthetemperature,itisnecessaryforallmeasurementstobeundertakenatthetesttemperature.
